Pseudo-Celebrity Talks about Being a Dad
While I was catching up on my reading at RebelDad, I found his rather close to violent reaction to an interview he found between MomLogic and reality TV's Ryan Sutter (The Bachelor). In the interview, Ryan reveals some intesresting things us moms should know (I think). Ryan and his wifey Trista have a 9-month-old son named Max.

Here is Ryan's 10 Things You Don't Know About Dads

  1. Even when you're about to breastfeed, we get turned on because we're guys and we just see boobs.
  2. When we're left in charge, we break all the rules. (Sorry Trista, I know you said it was too cold for Max and I to go out the other day, but we bundled up and did.)
  3. Sometimes we "don't realize" they have poopy diapers and let you discover it.
  4. Dads are sensitive too, and sometimes we feel fat.
  5. Honestly, we do steal glances at 25-year-olds who walk by. That's why we never leave home without our sunglasses!
  6. We really do love having our mothers-in-law around when they help with the kids and give us a break.
  7. We're actually really proud when he discovers his pee-pee.
  8. It's really sexy when you have no makeup on. Honestly, we prefer less makeup and seeing you in casual clothes.
  9. We're scared to death during the days leading up to the due date. We have no idea what to expect during the birth process. Everyone says just focus on caring for your wife...what does that mean? We need more direction than that!
  10. We just don't talk about beer and sports with our friends. We actually talk about being dads and how much we love our kids and wives.

... see Reference

I just had to laugh after reading it, you guys. Seriously. I mean, it's funny, but I think it kinda shows dads as insensitive @$$h0les - at some point. Hey, maybe that is the truth, I wouldn't know. Or maybe it shows the pseudo-celeb as a bad dad. The hub had some smaller violent reactions of his own regarding the 10 things. He says it is so NOT true. But I do know that sometimes he does #3. I mean, it is pretty obvious.

To all the dads out there reading this, is this really true? No, please don't lie...! Mommies, what do you think?

Cheers!

People announces 100 Most Beautiful People
Yesterday, People (http://www.people.com) launched its annual 100 Most Beautiful People list.

Leading the pack of stunning men and gorgeous women is the ever lovely and carefree Kate Hudson (29 years old) as the cover girl. Comments? I think they did not make a mistake in putting her among the 100. Definitely okay to put her on top. I think she is definitely beautiful and to die for. Despite the fact that she is already a mother, she still has her figure (and why wouldn't she, right?), and her face and easy smile. Even though she is pretty much a Hollywood baby, she still is quite humble. Great qualities.

Photobucket

Others who made the list are: Mary J. Blige, Salma Hayek, the cast of Gossip Girl, Carrie Underwood, Vanessa Hudgens (Go, Pinoy!), Eva Longoria (sexy to the max!) & hubby Tony Parker (Go SPURS, Go!), Christina Applegate, Isla Fisher, and Sarah Silverman, among others. Yeahp! Pretty good compilation so far.

Photobucket

I have one question though: Rumer Willis? Hmm.. I don't agree with People there. Her mom is beautiful, and I really like her dad. But... Nope, I still don't think she should be there. They have there reasons though, and perhaps if I stared longer I might be able to see it. Hmm.. Nope, still don't get it.

Miley Cyrus' Pictures in Vanity Fair: Artistic or Pornographic?
Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus' spawn, is the next Disney role model to hit controversy frequently. Disney has had a lot of "role models" who are now going in circles and spiraling up and down. I could not blame Disney for this. Can you help it if they simply breed celebrities? It could be that these young celebrities are just trying to figure out what to do next...?

Anyway, here goes the new scoop. Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, has hit Vanity Fair pages wearing nothing but a white sheet. Artistic? Pornographic? You be the judge!

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed...” - Miley Cyrus

I, personally, watch Hannah Montana. I love it, I just seriously love it. And although I haven't seen any of her merchandise in Dumzville, I am pretty sure a lot of the kids all over the world look up to her. Could you blame me if I look up to her as well? No, not exactly look up to her, but I just like her show. The kid in me just could not resist. If Little Girl were any bigger, I am sure she would love her, too.

I do not know about you. But I don't think it is THAT pornographic. Although definitely not for children viewing. I think it is quite artistic actually. I haven't read the contents, too, so I if I were to simply judge it by the picture, I think it is okay. Just make sure kiddies do not see it. If you were a responsible parent, would you show it?

Miley Cyrus is her own person. And I honestly believe that she can decide for herself. As per quote, she thought it was an artistic idea, then okay. If she believes it to be a mistake, then she is human after all. :)

What do YOU think? Artistic? Pornographic?

About Me

Name: Ann
Home: Philippines
About Me: even when she has fairy wings on, this girl is anything BUT dainty. perhaps the size, the weight, and the personality alone are just too much for her to be considered delicate, prim, proper, and refined. this girl with the mud smudged cheeks has been down on the ground one to many times. these times forced her to be tougher, smarter, and more savvy than she has ever been. perhaps she will always be, never dainty. email me: neverdainty [at] gmail [dot] com
